Cheurombo Pswarayi is a social entrepreneur in the healthcare industry. In April 2011, she registered her first healthcare company, CJV Medical Supplies, which supplies medical and lab equipment to private and public institutions. She grew her business through intentional listening and focusing on building and maintaining strong relationships with her clients and stakeholders.
She is the CEO of MedTours Africa, founded in 2015, a medical value travel company that arranges international treatment and travel for patients. She founded the company after loss of a close aunt who passed away due to unavailability of critical cardiac services in Zimbabwe. She is motivated to ensure loss of life due to lack of access is minimized.
Cheurombo is passionate about addressing the problems within medical diagnostic services in Zimbabwe and the SADC region through a scalable business solution which will impact lives by making the services more accessible. She has been awarded various national and international awards in recognition of her entrepreneurial excellence and work with Medtours Africa. She is a sought-after speaker for international medical tourism conferences because of the success and rapid growth of the company.
She is a 2019 Mandela Washington fellow who, through the Fellowship, Cheurombo has become a more intentional leader who is motivated to make a positive change throughout the continent with regards to healthcare access. She has learned to leverage her strengths within themes of competition, activator, learner, individualization, and harmony to make a lasting impact in her enterprises.
