Musi is the co-founder of MSM Property Fund, an asset manager specialised in property. He is a Key Individual, having both CAT I and CAT II licenses. In 2017, he was recognized as an ABSIP Game Changer in the financial services industry.
Prior to this, he worked for ten years as a portfolio manager/stock broker in the equity and derivatives space, managing clients’ book of R3 billion for Investec. He was also involved in mentoring students and young professionals as they were looking to enter the workforce. He was awarded Equity Dealer of The Year from ABSIP in 2014.
He was a financier of leveraged deals for two years, working in advisory services regarding various debt structures which entailed performing BEE deals to leverage buy-outs for institutions and high net worth individuals.
In using his skills that he had established throughout his lifetime, his first start-up was a property business (“flipping” properties) for two years. He then moved onto his second start-up in food franchising for two and half years.
In addition to his business ventures, he has been passionately involved in mentoring students and school goers as well as being involved in community projects and educational causes.
His academic achievements include an Honours and Master’s Degree in Science, where his culminated in him publishing 2 international journal papers and a thesis. He then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Business Administration) and further studies in property.
